She has practised and studied yoga since 2001 and is registered and fully insured with Yoga Alliance Professionals. Her own experience of yoga as a tool for transformation and to aid recovery from injury, trauma and stress led her to train as a teacher and fuels her desire to share the life-enhancing benefits of yoga with others.

Teaching HathaRestorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra (‘Yoga Sleep’) and Meditation Paula is London-based and available for drop-in classes, private yoga sessions and corporate classes.

An experienced Restorative Yoga teacher, Paula is an Advanced Relax and Renew Trainer, having studied both Level 1 and Advanced Restorative Yoga Teaching with the renowned Judith Hanson Lasater, with a particular focus on the therapeutic aspects of this practice for a range of conditions including anxiety and depression. Related to this, Paula has trained in Yoga Therapy for Anxiety and basic mental health techniques for yoga teachers with Heather Mason at The Minded Institute  and Mind-Body Integration (Yoga, Mindfulness, Neuroscience, the Body and Contemplative Practice) with Bo Forbes. Having used yoga as a tool to live positively with her own scoliosis, Paula has studied Yoga for Scoliosis Fundamentals with Adelene Cheong to deepen her knowledge in this area. Paula is also an accredited Menopause Yoga (TM) teacher – an approach to yoga to specifically help manage the main symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause. In addition, Paula has studied Meditation in the tradition of the Himalayan masters with Tracee Stanley. Paula is also a qualified Total Yoga Nidra Teacher and Facilitator (an approach which encompasses a range of Yoga Nidra traditions with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli) and Yin Yoga teacher (having studied with Norman Blair). Her teaching style has been described as nourishing. Paula’s commitment to studying yoga as a teacher and student is ongoing. She greatly enjoys learning from students and is eternally grateful to all the teachers she has had the good fortune to practise and study with.

Paula is also an author and experienced writer with script-writing credits for the BBC. Her book Rest + Calm (Green Tree, Bloomsbury) was published in 2022. Since 2012 she has written the monthly Carry on, Teacher and Teacher’s Tales column, respectively and travel features for OM Yoga Magazine, the most popular yoga title in the UK.

In addition, Paula regularly teaches on yoga retreats – more than twenty successful retreats to date – in the UK and abroad and for eight years was a senior teacher and lecturer on Sally Parkes’ 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Course, teaching the modules on Restorative Yoga and Yoga for Back Care. She has also been a guest lecturer on Restorative Yoga for Petra Coveney's Menopause Yoga (TM) teacher training at Yogacampus.

In 2024 she won a Welldoing Inspiration Award - celebrating mental health and wellbeing heroes - in recognition of her work.
