Practices & Guidance for Menopause Support

Join Yinka Fabusuyi and I on Saturday 29th April from 2.30-5pm at Yoga Point, Brixton for Practices & Guidance for Menopause Support.

If you’re in a stage of menopause from perimenopause onwards and experiencing some of the most common symptoms including joint pain, fatigue, anxiety, insomnia and more, then this workshop is for you.

With menopause there is no one-size fits all, but by trying different things we each have more chance of learning what works best for us and can feel better knowing that we have our own toolkit to hand. Join Yinka and Paula for an afternoon of practices and guidance to offer you some support, restoration and tools that you can implement into your life.

Yinka will be offering a presentation that will explore menopause, change, confidence and self-care. We will discuss changes to the musculoskeletal system and the ways in which hatha yoga can support you. Yinka will chair a discussion group to draw the presentation to a close.

Paula will offer a restorative and yin practice with an emphasis on easing stress, fatigue, anxiety and insomnia, combining floor based poses with pranayama (breathing practices). Props such as bolsters, blocks and chairs will be used to support the body and Paula will offer tips for self-practice if you would like to recreate any of the poses at home.
